Jared is a multi-disciplinary designer who spans design, strategy and business. He has over 15 years of industry experience, encompassing New York, London and New Zealand. Having graduated with honors from the Auckland Institute of Technology in 1997 with a degree in Graphic Design, Jared has designed for innovation, brand, corporate identity, packaging, architecture, jewelry, technology, retail experience, product, service and interface design.
He has worked for some of the America’s most creative and innovative companies — in diverse industries such as hospitality and finance, consumer electronics and consumer packaged goods, education and energy. He has led inter-disciplinary teams working for clients ranging from early-stage owners to the Fortune 100 C-Suite. He employs a consumer-centric approach, always seeking to understand the true motivation driving decision making and behavior.
Jared has taught Strategy & Innovation in Product & Service Design at the School of Visual Arts’ IxD (Interaction Experience Design) MFA program.
Jared believes the role of design is as a change agent for social good. He designs with purpose to positively impact everything he makes, and to improve the lives of everyone he reaches, even if that is a simple smile.
